Historical Note

Fred Stanley Bennett attended the University of Washington after the 1909 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition (AYPE) expanded the campus. Between 1911-1914 the University produced a plan for further extension of the UW campus and it grew rapidly during Bennett's time. Students assisted the growth of the University through Campus Day projects. Buildings such as the AYP Library and Meany Hall, photographed in this album, have since been destroyed and replaced.
