"W.P.R" was a tourist from the eastern United States who visited Yellowstone National Park during the summer of 1903. His full name is unknown.

While staying at the Fountain Hotel on July 26, W.P.R. wrote a letter to Mrs. George F. Howlett of West Newton, Massachusetts describing his trip from Duluth, Minnesota to Gardiner, Montana. He described touring Yellowstone in a stagecoach, leaving Mammoth Hot Springs and proceeding to the Fountain Hotel. He briefly sketched the sights he had seen and mentions fellow passengers and hotel accommodations. WPR also described the animals they encountered during the trip. The three-page letter, written on Fountain Hotel stationery, is accompanied by an addressed envelope.
