Historical NoteReturn to Top

Potosi Placers, a partnership between Henry Day and L.J. Burrows, involved developing some placers in the Potosi and Pony Gulches in the Beaver Mining District near Dixie, Idaho. The partnership lasted only from August-September, 1936, and the records are accordingly slim. Day and Burrows' problems getting money owed them by an E.T. Vincent generated some documentation.

Arrangement

The records of the Potosi Placers are divided into two series.

The only items in the second series, Financial Records, are vouchers.

The records of the Potosi Placers are part of the records of Day Mines, Inc., donated to the University of Idaho by Henry Day in 1984 and 1985.
