Gaspard Duché de Vancy was a French artist of the 18th century. He grew up in Vienna and exhibited not only at Paris's Salon of Young Artists (1781) but also at London's Royal Academy (1784). He was taken on as the official artist of the La Pérouse expedition, on which he disappeared.

Collection includes two engravings from "Atlas du Voyage de la Pérouse," part of "Voyage de La Pérouse autour du Monde," a compilation of findings of the Jean-François de Galaup La Pérouse expedition. Titles are in French. The engravings are Plate No. 53, "Tombeaux de la baie de Castries" (Tombs of Castries Bay), depicting a scene in eastern Russia, 40 x 57.3 cm; and Plate No. 54, "Costumes des habitans de la baie de Castries" (Costume of the inhabitants of Castries Bay), depicting adults and children around a fire inside a dwelling, 40 x 57.3 cm.
