The collection consists of a short biographical outline of Jeffers prepared by Fay Jeffers, his daughter-in-law, for his nomination to the “Cowboy Hall of Fame” in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, which includes a record of his cattle brand. He was elected to the Hall in 1961 for his contributions to the west and the cattle industry. The collection also includes typescript transcriptions of letters from Mr. Jeffers to his wife and of business letters he received between 1871 and 1893. The letters concern cattle herding and personal matters.
