Elliott D. Landau came to the University of Utah in 1955 as Assistant Professor of Elementary Education. In 1958 his position was changed to Assistant Professor of Education. In 1965 he became Professor of Education. In 1980 his title was changed to Professor of Educational Studies.

This collection contains professional correspondence, reports, and speeches of Elliott D. Landau. The bulk of the materials relate to his participation in the Intermountain Conference on Children's Literature held at the University of Utah (1961-1969). Included are meeting minutes, correspondence with participants, and typescripts of speeches. Also included is a small quantity of materials concerning Elliott Landau's activities as a faculty member in the Department of Educational Studies and in its predecessor, the Department of Education.
