Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Drury Lee Weatherhead (1887-1964) was hired as an instructor in chemistry at the Montana College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts in 1911 and served until 1914. He was born in Rock Island, Illinois on December 10, 1887 and attended the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana where he received a graduate scholarship in 1908. Weatherhead joined the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Food Division, Surgeon General’s Office on October 8, 1917 and was subsequently sent to Europe. He died in April 1964 at the age of 77.
