Summary
Several university-affiliated Chicano organizations have existed at the University of Utah. Three of these were the Chicano Library Advisory Committee, the Chicano Mobile Institute, and the El Ataneo group for Chicano employees. Clark S. Knowlton, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Center for the Study of Social Problems, was associated with these three groups. This collection contains correspondence and meeting minutes of the Chicano Library Advisory Committee, the Chicano Mobile Institute, and the El Ataneo group from the files of Professor Knowlton. Included is a list of University of Utah courses in Latin American Studies (1974-1975).
