This is a collection of diaries, research material, and financial records generated by Lynden resident Edmund Nelson. In his diaries Nelson chronicles his stay at Seattle's Riverton Hospital for the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis. Research material relating to Lynden history was compiled by Nelson in the course of writing his book "A History of Lynden." Financial records include personal income tax returns and check registers, as well as a ledger book from Nelson's tax and accounting business.
