The collection consists of materials related to the Walla Walla County Chapter of the American Red Cross from 1946 to 1978, including pamphlets, training materials, certification cards, Civil Defense information, emergency preparation and care instructions, and the "American Red Cross Home Nursing: Care of the Sick and Injured" instructors' guide, along with two textbooks regarding health care. The collection also contains scrapbooks, binders with newspaper clippings, meeting minutes, and photographs. One scrapbook is related to the Walla Walla Overseas Wives Club, which was a group sponsored by the Red Cross for women who had a spouse serving in Vietnam.
