Collection consists of 123 photographs in an album and four loose photographs, all black and white, depicting demolition of buildings in Oregon by the Shipyard Wood Company, owned by Fred G. Leary and W. C. Leary. The photographs predominantly depict demolition of the Oregon State Capitol in Salem after it was destroyed by fire in 1935. Also depicted is wrecking of various buildings in Portland, including a residence at SW 3rd and Market, the Allen & Lewis Building on Front Street, the Elks Building, The Wonder Millinery and the Hof Brau Quelle Restaurant. In addition to the photographs, the album includes newspaper clippings about the company's projects, and a letter from the Oregon State Board of Control to F. G. Leary, expressing thanks for the company's work on razing the Capitol.
