Collection consists of pages from 1 disbound photograph album, 1943, which was compiled by the Old Oregon Trail Centennial Commission and presented to the Oregon Historical Society. The photographs depict people, places, events, and other scenes associated with the Old Oregon Trail Centennial, and caption information is included. Events depicted include ceremonies, parades, re-enactments, and banquets; the photographs particularly feature commemorative activities in Champoeg, Baker, and Portland. Other subjects and scenes include window displays at Meier & Frank and other stores; horse- and ox-drawn wagons and carriages; ships, including the Liberty ships Star of Oregon and Robert Newell; and Oregon Trail monuments and markers. People depicted include political figures, among them Governor Earl Snell; pioneers; and members of the Old Oregon Trail Centennial Commission: Philip H. Parrish, Charles H. Reynolds, Leo Adler, Francis Lambert, Walter Meacham and Roy Meyers.
