One family photograph album containing black and white snapshots, 1898-1909, of recreational activities and travels. The photographs primarily depict people (both adults and children, most unidentified), houses, and landscapes. Social and recreational scenes depicted include swimming, boating, bicycling, rides in horse-drawn vehicles, picnics, parties, and other gatherings. One photograph is of President William McKinley. The images were taken in a variety of locations, most in California; many are identified on the album pages. These include Oakland, Pacific Grove, Monterey, Niles, Alameda, and Camp Meeker, California; Portland and Gearhart, Oregon; White Salmon, Washington; and Wisconsin.
