Collection comprises mostly artwork by artist and writer Kurt Wiese, including early photograph albums, sketchbooks, book illustrations and other art, dust jackets, correspondence, manuscripsts, published books, greeting cards, and proofs. Collection includes illustrations for
House with Red Sails;
Freddy the Cowboy;
The Chinese Ink Stick; and
The Parrot Dealer.

Kurt Wiese was born April 22, 1887, in Minden, Germany and died May 27, 1974, in Idell, New Jersey. He married Gertrude Hansen (a realtor), June 26, 1930. He was a Freelance writer and illustrator of books, including almost four hundred books by other authors.
The collection includes various illustrations from a number of different works.
