Collection consists of manuscripts of stories and poems, a collection of published pieces, professional and personal correspondence, speeches, copyright papers, and a photograph.

The manuscripts of stories and poems are all typed (often with a first draft, and one or two revisions) and range from 150 to 6,600. Manuscript titles include "The Acceptance," "Day Lost, Day Found", "Daddy and the American Way," "Confessions of a Honest Woman," "The Captive Princess," "Don't Let Them Begin," "Full Circle," "Eloise Has No Talent," "The Last Shall be First," "Mother's Day," "Mickey," "Peace and Mr. Whistlethwaite," and "You Can't Get Dizzy on Mt. Olympus."

The correspondence from editors and publishers includes eighty-four letters dating 1948-1964. Major correspondents include McFadden Publications, True Confessions Magazine, Western Family, and The Writer.

The correspondence from literary agent Howard Moorepark are dated 1948-1964 and include 224 letters.

There are seventy-six personal letters that date 1951-1965. Major correspondents include Gordon A. French, Pacific Northwest International Writers Conference, and Lucile V. Payne.

Speeches include five speeches in manuscript form.

The photograph is of Mary Jane Waldo.

There is also one box of various stories of Waldo's that were published in magazines.
