Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Roald F. Campbell served as chairman of the Department of Elementary Education and director of the William M. Stewart School at the University of Utah from 1942 to 1951. Professor of Education at the Ohio State University (1952-1957) and (1970-1974). Professor of Education (1957-1970) and Dean of the Graduate School of Education (1964-1970) at the University of Chicago. Adjunct Professor of Educational Administration at the University of Utah from 1974 until his death in 1988.

This collection primarily contains manuscripts and reprints of published articles as well as speeches, reports, and professional correspondence. Included are clippings and research notes. Also included is a transcript of an oral history interview conducted in 1984. The collection also contains a small quantity of administrative records of the University of Utah Department of Educational Administration (1983-1988).
