This series contains press releases issued for Jack Toole by his campaign headquarters in Great Falls. The majority of the press releases deal with speeches given by Toole to various organizations and fund-raisers in the eastern part of Montana. The press releases touch on Toole's views regarding certain issues facing constituents in 1964, such as student loans, coal development, farming and ranching policies, foreign policy, and environmental issues. Some of the press releases contain references to speeches given by Toole in which he attacks his opponent, James Battin, on Battin's past voting record and unnecessary travel. Toole often mentions Battin's record of voting with Senator Barry Goldwater, the Republican presidential nominee in 1964. Other press releases contain declarations of support for Toole from Montana political leaders Mike Mansfield, former Democratic Congressman Leroy Anderson, and former Republican State Senate majority leader, Charles Mahoney. The first item in the folder is a letter most likely written by a former Toole staff member in 1965 regarding the file of press releases.

Contained within this series are various other documents from the campaign such as correspondence and scripts for radio advertisements. One item is a letter written by Toole to his opponent, James Battin, regarding his voting record and how Toole will address it during his campaign. Another item contains the text of a telegram message sent to Congressman Battin from U.S. Secretary of State Dean Rusk about an update on the changes in the Soviet Union. The series also contains scripts from campaign advertisements that Toole placed on the radio in the last few weeks before the election. The series is arranged chronologically.
