This collection contains the reports from the governor of Utah's committee on Public Welfare and Emergency Relief. This committee was appointed by the governor to work with the Utah Emergency Relief Administration. The reports in this collection, consist of six in number, and cover the year 1934. At this time F.P. Champ, of Logan, was chairman of the advisory committee and the reports were pulled from his personal papers and placed into this small collection.
The reports are statistical by nature. They summarize how Utahans were being affected by the emergency relief project of the 1930s. The Utah project was a component of the federal Emergency Relief Administration, which was part of FDR's New Deal program. The reports have been placed into acid free folders and housed in Hollinger document boxes.
