The Cache Valley Home & Garden Club was created in September 1979 by Lerene Berry, Chairman of the Logan Beautification Committee. The purpose of the group was to promote an interest in gardening and floral arts, to encourage civic beautification, and to cooperate in the conservation of native plants, wildlife, and the entire environment. The club was a part of the Utah Associated Garden Club, Inc. (UAGC). Officers were elected on a yearly basis. From 1979-1988 the club meetings were scheduled January-December. From 1989-2001, the club switched their schedule to a June-May fiscal year. Dues were originally $3.00 per person, and $5.00 per couple. This later changed to $5.00 a person. Part of the dues collected each year were sent to UAGC.

The club met once a month to do activities that were nature-based. They held a summer potluck, Christmas party, and generally two garden/landscape/home tours every year. There were also occasional trips to plant themed places (Utah Arboretum, USU Garden walks, etc.). Guest speakers or members would discuss plants, fertilizer, pesticides, animals, and other nature topics. They also held a special event for Arbor Day (the last Friday in April). The club disbanded in July 2001 due to declining membership, and had difficulty recruiting new officers. The money that the club had at the time was donated to a local library for books.
