Historical NoteReturn to Top
Women have been enrolled as students at Oregon State University since its founding in 1868 and a woman, Alice Biddle, was one of the first three graduates of Corvallis College (the predecessor to OSU) in 1870. The first Woman's Day was held in 1924 as an opportunity to honor women and mothers; it was later known as Women's Day (or Weekend) and is now known as Moms Weekend.
