The collection consists of three boxes of textual materials and includes research notes, transcriptions, and biographical sketches of landscape artist and Tacoma resident Abby Williams Hill (1861-1943).

W. W. Carl papers, 1897-circa 1912; 1994
Oregon Historical Society Research LibraryPapers of W. W. Carl (1869-1938), a carpenter and farmer who lived in the area of Carlton, Oregon. The bulk of the papers consists of diaries that Carl kept from 1897 to 1905. Other papers include information about materials used for buildings he helped to construct; descriptions of land that his mother, Mary J. Carl, willed to him; and transcriptions of his diary entries, made by his great-grandson, John A. Beutler.

Oregon Historical Society Research LibraryPosters, ephemera, and a photography book relating to art exhibitions and galleries. The materials were compiled by Irish Setter, a typesetting business in Portland, Oregon. The bulk of the collection consists of posters for exhibitions in the late 1970s and 1980s at Blue Sky Gallery and Blackfish Gallery in Portland.
